THE ART OF THE AGES -- Henna is an all-natural product, made from the dried leaves of the henna plant, (lawsonia inermis) that grows in the Middle East and has been used to many effects for thousands of years. Evidence of Henna has been found in King Tut’s tomb.

Henna is made into a paste by mixing with natural essential oils and lemon juice. When applied to the skin it stains or dyes the skin in the freehand design, and stays on for one to two weeks.

Professional Henna Body Art

Neecee Blackwell is a successful, working artist who trained to become a professional face and body artist in 2005. She then began traveling the festival and comic convention circuits in the La/Ark/Tex/Miss area. After much practice, she began offering henna at her events. She enjoys not only the art of henna but the interesting conversation with diverse clientele as their artwork is being rendered.

She loves meeting new people and giving them the gift of an original, beautiful design to enjoy for several weeks, then sending them off with a big smile.

These are things she enjoys about being a henna artist. Neecee offers henna at many art festivals and Comic Conventions across the country, some with attendance of 50,000+.

Her artwork is well-received and quite a novelty for this fun market of comic con folks. She does traditional henna designs and also fandom specific custom artwork that cosplayers can add to their look or con goers can wear to promote their favorite fandom, television show, movie, video game, anime, comic or superhero.

You can see more photos of her artwork on her other website www.NeeceeBlackwell.com.

And on her Facebook pages, FB/Crooked Tree Graphics and FB/Neecee Blackwell.
